Happy to share my next picture book entitled: Black Dot
I am the Black Dot. It is me.
I am surrounded by White Dots. They are everywhere.
There are little White Dots and Big White Dots.
White Dots in my classroom.
White Dots in the cafeteria eating next to me.
White Dots at the soccer game.
White Dots in the library.
Who am I to be? I don’t see me.
Mommy, I don’t see me in the classroom, the cafeteria, the soccer game, or the library. I’m afraid to be me.
Sometimes I throw things and hit walls because I am becoming scared of not seeing me.
This makes me sad.
I don’t mean to be bad.
Can you find a new school with more Black Dots like me?
We’ve found a new school! Yippee! Yippee!
More Black Dots like me.
I am now free to be me.
Free to grow…and grow…and grow.
From the Black Dot, into me.
I can now grow into the kid I always knew I could be.
Now that I’ve found other Black Dots, I’m no longer a Black Dot.
I’m perfect as me with others like me.
